Ramanjot Kaur Kalher-Registered Psychologist
Born and raised in Edmonton, Raman completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology at the University of Alberta and her Master of Science in Forensic Psychology at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. She furthered her clinical expertise through advanced training with Yorkville University and Capella University, and has since relocated to Calgary where she is a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists.

Raised in a large, interconnected family, Raman developed an early appreciation for the complexity of relationships, the central role of communication, and the influence of cultural heritage on identity. In her clinical work, she supports adults and families in exploring the many layers that shape their lived experiences. Whether it looks like addressing trauma, navigating relational challenges, or supporting families in bridging cultural and generational differences, Raman offers a thoughtful and respectful space where each individual’s experience is acknowledged and valued.

Raman’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and affirming, grounded in the belief that individuals possess inherent strengths and resilience, even amid significant challenges. She does not see people through a lens of pathology, but rather views them as whole persons with unique narratives and the capacity for meaningful growth.

Her training and clinical experience include the following modalities:
– Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

– Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
– Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
– Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
– Solution-Focused Therapy
– Internal Family Systems (Parts Work)
– Mindfulness-based practices

Outside of her professional role, Raman values approaching life with curiosity and openness, regardless of outcome. You may see her attempting to knit, trying a new sport.
